Every seasoned Minesweeper player knows the heartbreak of solving 99% of an Expert board, only to encounter an unavoidable 50/50 coin flip in the final corner where logic fails and pure luck decides the outcome.
In No-Guessing Mode, that frustration is permanently resolved. Using our built-in Constraint Satisfaction Problem (CSP) solver, the engine tests every possible mine arrangement before committing the board. If any 50/50 guessing ambiguity is detected, the board is discarded and rebuilt until a 100% logically resolvable chain is proven.

Using the Smart Deductive Hint System

- The deductive solver runs in real-time, analyzing all uncovered numbers and their overlapping boundary constraints.
- It selects a cell that is mathematically 100% safe and illuminates it with a pulsing amber beacon.
- The top notification bar displays the exact coordinates (e.g., "💡 Row 4, Col 5 is 100% safe!") along with a quick dismiss button (✕).
The "Chording" Technique: How to Play Fast
Chording is the secret weapon used by speedrunners and experienced Minesweeper players to clear boards in record time.
What is Chording? Once you have placed the correct number of flags around an uncovered number tile, clicking on that number will instantly reveal all remaining unflagged neighbor tiles at once.
Identify a Fulfilled Number
Suppose an uncovered tile shows a 2. You have already logically deduced and flagged both adjacent mines with 🚩.
Trigger the Chord
Click directly on the number 2. On desktop, click with the Left Mouse Button (or Middle Click / Left+Right Click). On mobile, simply tap the number tile.
Instant Mass Clear
All other adjacent unflagged tiles pop open simultaneously in one action. This saves hundreds of individual clicks throughout a single game!
Essential Deduction Patterns You Must Memorize
Advanced Minesweeper players do not guess. They recognize recurring mathematical patterns along walls and frontiers.
Pattern 1: The Iconic "1-2-1" Formation
Essential Strategy • KD 31%Whenever you see a straight edge with 1 - 2 - 1 facing three unopened frontier tiles:
• The mines are guaranteed to be under both 1s (💣).
• The tile directly under the middle 2 is 100% safe to open (✓).
Why this works: The center 2 requires 2 mines. Each flanking 1 can only touch at most 1 mine. The only way to satisfy the center 2 without exceeding the capacity of either 1 is placing one mine on each end, leaving the center tile completely bomb-free.
Pattern 2: The "1-2-2-1" Double Mine Formation
High-Yield Strategy • KD 24%When you encounter 1 - 2 - 2 - 1 along an unbroken frontier of four unopened tiles:
• The mines are directly beneath both 2s (💣).
• The tiles beneath the outer 1s are 100% safe to dig (✓).
Why this works: The outer 1s restrict their respective pairs to only 1 mine each. Since the two inner 2s together demand two mines across their shared territory, those two mines must sit squarely below the 2s, immediately clearing the outer tiles.
Pattern 3: The Corner & Edge "1-1" Reduction
Corner MasteryAlong any wall or boundary, when a 1 has all its possible mine locations completely contained inside the neighborhood of an adjacent 1:
• Any remaining hidden tile touching only the second 1 is guaranteed safe!

Pattern 4: The "1-2" Corner & Hole Trap
High-Level TrapWhen a 1 is anchored against a corner or dead-end wall and sits next to a 2 facing the open board:
• The corner 1 bounds its two tiles to exactly one mine.
• The 2 requires two mines total—one inside the 1's zone and one outside.
• Therefore, the third unshared tile directly facing the 2 is guaranteed to be a mine (💣).

When a board is created, our algorithm simulates a human solver applying subset subtraction, single-candidate deduction, and frontier boundary logic. If the solver ever encounters a situation requiring a guess, the board is regenerated until a 100% deterministic solution path is found.
